Brotonne Forest

Running beside the Seine’s penultimate meander, Brotonne Forest covers 10,000 hectares, of which 6,750 are state-owned and run by France’s national forestry organization, the ONF. Previously known as Arelaune Forest, then, during the Revolution, as the Forest of National Union, Brotonne presents varied landscapes across its valleys, with their abundant oak, Scots pine and beech offering a magnificent show, the colours changing with the seasons. Take time to explore this forest.
